Who says poetry and crime don’t mix? Award-winning crime novelist Paul Doiron will read from his series featuring Maine game warden Mike Bowditch, while his wife, poet Kristen Lindquist, will read from her poetry featuring the people and landscapes of Maine—and somehow it will work!

Join the Boothbay Harbor Library at the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor for an evening with Maine author Paul Doiron as he discusses the most recent addition to his Mike Bowditch series, Pitch Dark. Books will be on sale from Sherman’s Maine Coast Book Shop and Paul will be signing copies after his talk.

Paul will appear at the Ellsworth Public Library to read from and discuss his new Mike Bowditch novel, Pitch Dark, which Kirkus Reviews calls the “perfect beach read.” Blue Hill Books will be on the site, and he’ll be signing copies of Pitch Dark and his other novels after the talk.

Paul will be joined by Sarah Stewart Taylor, author of the acclaimed new novel AGONY HILL, at this special event at Gibson's Bookstore in Concord, New Hampshire. Both authors will discuss their just-released books, with Paul reading from PITCH DARK, the fifteenth entry in his award-winning and bestselling series of crime novels featuring Maine game warden Mike Bowditch. Books will be for sale, and Paul and Sarah will be signing copies after the event.

Paul joins retired wildlife biologist Ron Joseph, author of the new memoir Bald Eagles, Bear Cubs, and Hermit Bill at the Camden Public Library to discuss their long friendship and how their time together in the North Woods have informed Paul’s mysteries and Ron’s often comic, always informational essays about Maine’s flora, fauna, and folkways. “No one has taught me more about the North Maine Woods than my friend Ron Joseph,” Paul writes in his introduction to Ron’s book. Copies of both Paul’s novels and Ron’s memoir will be for sale at the event.

Paul will read from Dead Man’s Wake, the most recent book in his crime novel series featuring Maine Game Warden Mike Bowditch, followed by Q&A. He will be available to sign attendees’ books, as well; books will be available for purchase at the event from Bull Moose.
